His Love Through You

Technically, this is a love poem, but it's emphasis on our significant others being an extension of God's own love to us warrants its inclusion in the Worship section.

I was thanking God for you
Many years before we met.
There was cold and rain outside that day.
I never will forget.

We hardly said any words at all
But somehow we both knew
All the lonely nights were in the past.
My prayers were answered with you.

CHORUS
And I feel my Savior smiling
When I look into your eyes.
I can feel His grace and mercy
Brighten all my darkened skies.
Oh, I feel His everlasting arms
When I'm holding you in mine,
And He tells me that He loves me,
Through you, time after time.

There were many nights of tearful prayer
That brought us to that day;
But now we reap the joy God promised
In so many different ways.

I'm so thankful that I waited
And let the Father make my choice.
Now that we're together,
I can't help but raise my voice.

BRIDGE
For many years He told us,
"My children, be strong."
He hadn't given our answer yet,
But He heard us all along.
