If You Need Me

Everyone needs someone who's always there to talk to about anything, and this poem is kind of an open door for all of my friends who might need to borrow my ear at any time.

He's hurt you again.
You weren't ready at all.
This time he left for good
And no one was there to break your fall.

You loved him so deeply.
You didn't think he'd run.
But don't think nobody cares
Because right here I'm one.

If you need me anytime, anywhere
Just let me know and I will be there.
If a shoulder to cry on is all that you need
Then you can use mine.  I'm there if you need me.

No amount of preparation
Could've stopped all the pain.
Just knowing that he left you
Is driving you completely insane.

It wasn't something you did.
You tried as hard as you could.
Blaming it on yourself
Isn't going to do any good.

If you need me to hold you tight
Or speak words of comfort in the middle of the night
Then give me a call and I'll set your heart free.
I just want you to know I'm there if you need me.

I really do care.
I don't like seeing you so blue.
All this pain you feel inside
I feel, too.

So I'll offer you my shoulder
And I'll lend you my ear,
And I think you'd feel better
Once you've shed all those tears.

If you need me I'll give you my hand
And I'll be the one who's there and understands.
Forgetting about about him will set your heart free.
You know where to look if you ever need me.
