Lost in Flight

Feelings always seem to run high when a new relationship is forming, and this poem seems to fit that.  It is not sexual in nature, though I can see how it might be mistaken that way.  It does, however, seem to capture fairly well the rose-colored view of love that almost everyone has experienced at one time or another.

Had a dream last night.
Shook me up pretty bad.
I dreamt that I lost you
And it made me very sad.

What a relief to wake up
From that cold, dark night.
Now, baby, take my hand
And let's get lost in flight.

When you're with me I feel so free
And only a fool just could not see
That we we fly we soar through the night
And never land but stay lost in flight.

My whole world
Revolves around you.
Nobody gives flying lessons
Quite like you do.

They ain't takin' you
Without me puttin' up a fight.
You give me a sensation
Like being lost in flight.

With you near I need not cry.
When I'm with you I fly so high.
When we fly we soar through the night
And never land but stay lost in flight.

Lost in flight
When you're with me.
How high can we go?
Baby, let's fly and see.

Lost in flight and there to stay.
I hope I never find my way.
A neverending love soaring through the night
That never lands but stays lost in flight.
