Tears in the Rain

This was written during my senior year of high school, but that's about all I can remember about it.  It's about how people around us, especially those close to us, can't always see the pain we might be going through, and that we should never be afraid to tell someone about it.

Your heart's been undone.
He's gone and he's left you alone,
And you've lost your smile.
It's not coming back for awhile.

Let your feelings run free.
You're not as strong as you think you can be,
And nobody knows
About the pain that you don't want to show.

It's like
Tears in the rain.
You feel so much pain,
And no one can see that you're cryin'.
Tears in the rain
That won't go away.
Inside you just feel like you're dyin'.

You think you're alone,
But hearts just like yours found a home.
Do not give up.
You can't cope if you bottle it up.

You say you'll be fine,
But this wound won't heal just through time.
The hurtin' won't go
Unless you let somebody know.

There's no chance of healing
If you hide your feelings.
They'll slowly tear you apart.
You've hoped and you've prayed
But you can't be afraid.
You've got to open your heart.

Let go of the pain.
Hid by tears in the rain.
