To Every Thing a Purpose

Manuscript Status:

The manuscript is nearly complete now.  I still have to change the name of Emily's teddy bear, but I think I may have figured out what it will be.  I may also further revise a couple scenes, including the last one which still feels a little tacked on.  The last chapter is more of an epilogue anyway, but the last scene is all narration and no dialogue and as a result lacks any real emotional impact or intimacy with any of the characters.  I'm also hoping to better handle the month gap in the last third of the story.  The gap is necessary but for now seems a little too abrupt.

Publishers I Have Contacted:

None, as I have yet to finalize the manuscript.

Prayer would be greatly appreciated in the following areas:

• That God will grant me wisdom in knowing what edits to make and not to make, so that my final draft will be exactly what it needs to be.

• That God will bring me to a publisher that not only wants to publish the novel, but will get behind it and actively promote it.

• That the book, published or not, will find its way into the hands of the people who need the messages contained within.

• That my royalties from publication will be at least enough to cover all my debts, including my brother (who paid for the car I am driving, and who's understanding of the huge delay in repaying him is appreciated more than he'll ever know).
